April
Quintiles forms a joint venture to commercialize products in Asia-Pacific. In addition to Quintiles, the joint venture partners are InterPharma Asia Pacific, parent of drug distributor Zuellig Pharma, and Asia investment company Temasek Holdings (Private) Limited.

Quintiles launches its expanded strategic partnering group under the NovaQuest brand and announces an alliance with global investment firm TPG-Axon Capital to support significant co-development and co-promotion agreements.
2007
Quintiles celebrates its 25th anniversary in business, growing from a small trailer on the University of North Carolina campus to more than 20,000 employees (in 2007) around the world.

Quintiles and Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. create a joint venture, called Cenduit™, to provide seamless, integrated Interactive Response Technology (IRT) services for pharmaceutical and biotechnology product development.

Quintiles' Latin American subsidiary acquires Bio-Trials, a leading Central American Clinical Research Organization (CRO) with headquarters in Panama and offices in Costa Rica, Guatemala, Ecuador and Peru.

Quintiles forms a new investor partnership including Chairman and CEO Dennis Gillings, CBE, along with private investment firms Bain Capital and TPG Capital as the lead investors with 3i becoming a significant investor. Temasek Holdings remains a Quintiles Investor.

Quintiles acquires Eidetics, a privately held decision-analytics and market research consulting firm located in Boston as part of its expanding Quintiles Consulting business.
September
NovaQuest, the managed partnership group of Quintiles, receives Eli Lilly and Company’s highest award for its “flawless execution” over four years in helping Lilly achieve strategic and operational objectives vital to its business success.

Quintiles acquires Targeted Molecular Diagnostics (TMD) of Westmont, IL to strengthen its Global Central Laboratories service offerings in oncology, an increasingly important growth area of drug development and to provide strong capabilities in tissue-based testing, a critical component of the modern oncology drug development process.
2009
March
Quintiles moves into new world headquarters, Quintiles Plaza, in Research Triangle Park, NC. New 10-story, LEED-certified headquarters has capacity for 1,100 employees to consolidate existing, local facilities and provide room for continued growth.

Quintiles named by industry decision-makers as the most favored contract research organization (CRO) according to two independent surveys. Quintiles ranked number one across a range of service and reputation attributes, from breadth of service through to therapeutic expertise (Blair and ISR reports).
