Management Roles

Ideally, UK pharmaceutical sales managers will have experience in pharmaceutical people management with a successful track record from within the industry, gained through coaching, motivating and leadership of a team of hospital, diagnostic and medical sales representatives.

Experience of performance management issues is helpful, but essential are a can do attitude, strong customer focus and ability to ensure your team reach/exceed targets.

Working as part of a wider cross functional team, pharmaceutical sales managers will demonstrate exceptional business acumen, strong presentation and reporting skills, to support your management of a regional team.

Additionally, to qualify for regional management jobs in pharmaceutical sales, a candidate will be ideally educated to degree level or equivalent, and with the ABPI plus evidence of self development.

With the right attitude and skills, progression towards a First Line Manager position is within your reach. Here at Quintiles, we provide a comprehensive development programme which includes a self development guide to enable you to build your portfolio, a formal training programme to up skill you in the key aspects of management theories and context within Quintiles and an assessment centre to allow you to demonstrate your competencies before being placed within a pool of potential First Line Managers.
