EURORDIS and partners will bring together all rare disease stakeholder groups for a truly multi-stakeholder discussion to improve access to rare disease therapies in Europe. The objective for this symposium is to move toward sustainable and durable solutions. More than 200 people will attend this symposium in Brussels, Belgium, including patient advocates, payers, HTA bodies and national competent authorities, policy makers, regulators, clinicians, academics, industry leaders and investors.

Participants will:

  • Gain understanding of the pressures and issues facing each rare disease stakeholder group;
  • Meet and exchange with people who share a common quest to make affordable medicines available to
    patients as quickly as possible;
  • Identify common conditions to facilitate increased out‐take of medicines;
  • Discuss how to work together and where stakeholder groups disagree;
  • Investigate some fair ways to resolving concerns;
  • Assist in moving all stakeholders towards a fair / ‘right’ approach forward.
