Francine Cabrera is a member of a national nurse educator team responsible for helping recruit, support and educate and patients for diabetes clinical trials. In this role, Francine also serves as a liaison between the trial sponsor, contract research organization, research investigators and staff to communicate concerns, needs, outcomes, goals and best practices learned during the course of a trial.
Before joining Quintiles in 2015, Francine spent 15 years an independent consultant providing diabetes educational classes in the community, in private practice and within the pharmaceutical industry. Before that, Francine was a director at a large metropolitan hospital in the Philadelphia, Pa., area where she developed the hospital’s outpatient self-management diabetes program, which resulted in recognition from the American Diabetes Association (ADA).
Francine holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Holy Family University in Philadelphia, Pa. She is certified as a diabetes educator (CDE) and a Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurse (WOCN) specialist.
