Dr. Jonathan Morris is Vice President, Provider Solutions, and Chief Medical Informatics Officer, Real World Insights. Jon works with the QuintilesIMS portfolio of businesses at the convergence of Real World Evidence (RWE) and connected health. Specific areas of focus include RWE design, generation, and dissemination, as well as the intersection of quality and outcomes measurement for providers, payers, and patients.
Jon joined QuintilesIMS from United BioSource Corporation (UBC), where he was Senior Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer. There, he had global responsibility for building and managing operational and service functions related to the data and information used to generate evidence for biopharmaceutical product effectiveness, safety and value. Prior to joining UBC, Jon was Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of ProSanos, a patient safety and health outcomes focused informatics company that he cofounded and sold to Medco (NYSE: MHS) in 2010.
Jon has specific expertise building and growing organizations which provide products and services to the healthcare enterprise, including the development and deployment of electronic medical records; the development, implementation, and extension of applied Informatics systems; the development of data mining and analytics solutions on large collections of healthcare data; the utilization of real world evidence to address payer related product value challenges; and specific software products and services in the arenas of drug safety, risk management, and health outcomes research. He is a well regarded international speaker and has authored over 100 peer reviewed publications and presentations.
Jon holds an M.D. from Washington University in St. Louis, and a B.S. in economics from the University of Michigan. He completed his surgical internship, residency and pediatric surgical research fellowship at Stanford University.
