Margot Stam Moraga is a Director Benefit-Risk Management in the Safety Knowledge and Reporting team of the Clinical Design and Reporting unit at Quintiles. She has in-depth knowledge in post-marketing pharmacovigilance and risk management, with a hands-on expertise in setting-up and implementation of safety signal management processes and signal detection methodologies. She also provides consulting services on best practices for signal management systems.
Prior to joining Quintiles, Margot was employed by Merck Serono for 14 years, where she held various positions with increasing responsibilities. She first worked for 6 years as a Clinical Project Manager responsible for phase II, III and IV clinical trials in the indication of multiple sclerosis. She then joined the Safety Department where she managed as Safety Product Lead all pharmacovigilance aspects of several investigational and marketed products. Lastly she acted as the process owner for signal management and the department’s subject matter expert in signal detection methodologies.
Margot holds a Masters degree in Biochemistry from the University of Geneva, complemented with a Masters in Public Health from the School of Public Health of the Free University of Brussels, Belgium and a Masters in Human Nutrition from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium.
