Senior Director of Quintiles Technologies
Jason Parker, BEng., is Senior Director of Technology for Quintiles. With his technology acuity, he serves as a conduit for new IT ideas, operational technology enhancements and IT drivers. As the primary liaison between the Quintiles Business Solutions group and its many partners and vendors, Jason specializes in technology innovations for both ECG and IVR services. His particular strength lies in strategic technology direction, defining and delivering ECG product systems and services tailored to each customer.
As a member of the FDA discussion group panel that formulated the design of the electronic ECG standards, Jason made significant contributions to the FDA’s new ECG specifications. At Quintiles, he keeps his division in the forefront of ECG analysis technology development, specifically in the areas of paper ECG scanning solutions, digital ECG solutions and 12-lead holter solutions, and new IVR technologies and technical process improvements.
A founding member of Cardiac Alert, which Quintiles acquired in 1998, Jason coordinated all technology aspects of the centralized ECG laboratory dedicated to clinical trials. He integrated three next-generation ECG recording devices and developed a next-generation ECG management system.
Jason studied engineering at the University of Greenwich in London, where he joined the Artificial Intelligence research group that investigated the predictability of the failure of electrical machines. He wrote technical papers that he presented at national and international conferences.
