About Our Capital Group

Since 2000, when Quintiles started its formal strategic partnering function, more than $1.5 billion has been invested or committed to Quintiles' partnerships with companies of all sizes. Our capital group handles key investment partnering functions, including deal structuring, due diligence, contracting and alliance management. Quintiles Japan has been offering capital solutions since 2004.

Our capital group of experts in Japan offers tailor-made solutions in three major categories, which help clients to optimize the commercial value of their R&D and product portfolio without having to cede any related rights and control:

1. Co-Development Investments
Co-development investments in which Quintiles invests with cash and/or Quintiles services, in a customer's drug in exchange for a return from that specific product. This return may be, in the form of milestones or royalties, or other approved products.

2. Co-Promotion Investments
Co-promotion investments in which we invest with cash and/or services in a customer's commercialization programs in a customer's drug in exchange for a return from that specific product in the form of royalties. 　

3. Emerging Biotech
Emerging biotech focused on helping biotechs access Quintiles broad services as a "virtual infrastructure" for capabilities and expertise in global clinical development and commercialization in combination with financial assistance.
