Clinical Services

With more than 260 staff in Clinical Operations and Large Scale Functional Resourcing combined, Italy is one of the largest Quintiles sites in Western Europe.

Our staff is widely deployed over the territory and resident in the main office of Milan, and in a smaller office in Rome. With the introduction of Quality in Clinical Research, the monitoring staff has been realigned to nine site clusters in the field, designed around the major cities of Milan, Rome, Turin, Venice, Florence, Bologna, Ancona, Bari and Naples.

Our total Clinical Development Services staff, including Project Management and other service lines (Access to Patients, Learning & Development), totals nearly 300 people.

We have developed our business here in the last 15 years by growing both our international core clinical services and our local business, making Italy quite unique within Quintiles.

In a very competitive market, the focus is and will be to:

start up studies efficiently
deliver the expected number of patients constantly
monitor and manage customer satisfaction and expectations

In addition to this, we also place special attention in hiring and developing our staff; thereby enabling all of them to be Quintiles ambassadors when talking to investigators, customers and third party vendors.
