Orthopaedic Sales

The UK's changing demographics, with an aging population means that the orthopaedic sector is growing and demand for skilled candidates increases.

It is also one of the most competitive sectors in the healthcare marketplace.

Orthopaedic sales reps normally call on orthopaedic surgeons, theatre staff and senior procurement management within the NHS and the private sector, often covering a large geographic territory.

Products range from back braces and knee braces to prosthetics, surgical equipment and anaesthetics. Orthopaedic sales reps are also required to conduct product-training sessions as required and are often asked to spend time in theatre.

Candidate Profile

  Successful candidates should be educated to degree level or equivalent with proven sales experience and strong communication and presentation skills. For some roles, experience of working in a hospital/theatre environment may be required.
