The UK wound care marketplace has changed dramatically over the past few years, with tissue viability nurses and PCT formularies playing a vital role in the selection and use of dressings. Which all adds up to more challenging woundcare careers and opportunities.
In order to educate decision makers and to gain formulary status, today's woundcare sales reps need to be able to talk with authority to a whole range of people, from district and practice nurses to tissue viability nurses, vascular nursing specialists to pharmacists. That means having an intelligent understanding of burns, ostomy, skin and general wound care.
Candidate Profile
Successful woundcare sales rep candidates will be highly motivated, with either previous experience as successful hospital or medical sales rep professionals or Qualified Nurses with exceptional drive and a strong desire to break into sales.
In addition, wound care sales reps you should have an in-depth understanding the wound care environment coupled with strong communication skills.
