Great Place to Work: Germany
For the seventh time in a row we were awarded a Germany’s Best Employers title in February 2011 in the Great Place To Work® Institute's competition.
Since 2004 Quintiles Commercial Germany GmbH have successfully lived up to the Institute's assessment based on surveys of employees in headquarter and sales force. Monika Beintner, Managing Director of Innovex: "We place great value on our employees' satisfaction. Values such as mutual respect, fairness and team spirit are just as much part of a positive working atmosphere as a good management style and the creation of an optimal work environment for employees".
With the title "Best Employer in Germany" the Great Place to Work® Institute recognizes the special quality and attractiveness of employers. In the run-up to the competition, employees were surveyed as part of an extensive, anonymous study of important workplace themes like quality of leadership and level of teamwork, opportunities for professional development and job satisfaction. The Institute also evaluates the HR measures and concepts employed at the company.
The award stands for credible, respectful and fair cooperation of management with employees, a high-degree of employee identification with their jobs, and a strong sense of team spirit within the company. The workplace culture is examined empirically on the basis of criteria like credibility, respect, fairness, pride and team spirit. A total of 60 individual aspects are studied in order to analyze employees' relationships with management, fellow employees and the company. Employee votes make up two thirds of this assessment. The employer's human resources department must also submit to a comprehensive audit of the corporate culture - the result of which makes up one third of the evaluation.
Last year the Institute examined the quality and attractiveness as an employer of a total of 235 companies of all size classes, industries and regions; over 50,000 employees were surveyed. This year, 100 companies received the "Germany's Best Employer" seal of approval. The annual study and accompanying competition are run by the Great Place to Work® Institute of Germany in partnership with the New Quality in Employment Initiative (Initiative Neue Qualität der Arbeit (INQA)) of the Federal Ministry for Employment and Social Services. The Great Place to Work® Institute, as an independent international research and consulting institute, currently helps companies in 40 countries worldwide develop trustful and successful workplace cultures.
