    November 6, 2006 – Quintiles Transnational Corp. today announced that Paula Brown Stafford, Executive Vice President, Global Data Management, has been elected to the Board of Directors of CDISC, an industry consortium that leads the development of data standards to improve medical research.

The renewal reflects the alliance's success in accelerating development of Solvay's product portfolio and improving efficiency.

    October 16, 2006 – Quintiles Transnational Corp. today announced plans to open a central lab in Mumbai, India, further expanding the company’s global network of labs that support global and regional clinical trials.

  • JOHN RATLIFF APPOINTED CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER OF QUINTILES TRANSNATIONAL CORP.

    October 2, 2006 – Quintiles Transnational Corp. today announced that John Ratliff has been appointed as its new Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. He will be responsible for directing Quintiles’ daily global operations and will report to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Dennis Gillings, CBE. Ratliff also has been elected to the Quintiles Transnational Corp. Board of Directors.

  • QUINTILES TO OPEN DATA PROCESSING CENTER IN MARTIN COUNTY, N.C.

    August 8, 2006 – Quintiles Transnational Corp. today announced the expansion of its global data management network with the opening of a clinical data processing center in Williamston, N.C. The center will provide up to 70 new jobs in the eastern region of the state and build additional capacity for customers seeking services provided by U.S.-based staff.

    May 11, 2006 – Quintiles Transnational Corp. today announced the launch of its expanded strategic partnering group under the NovaQuest™ brand and, to further NovaQuest's mission, an alliance with TPG-Axon Capital, a global investment firm with over $5.8 billion in equity capital. NovaQuest helps life-science companies realize greater value from their product portfolios through innovative strategic partnering solutions.

  • QUINTILES COMPLETES REFINANCING AND ACCEPTS NOTES IN TENDER OFFER

    March 31, 2006 – Quintiles Transnational Corp. today announced that it has completed new credit facility arrangements. The new credit facilities include a $225 million first lien revolving credit facility due in 2012, a $1.0 billion first lien term loan due in 2013 and a $220 million second lien term loan due in 2014. Proceeds from the borrowings under the term loans were used, together with available cash, to pay the purchase price for notes accepted in the tender offer described below and to cash out the outstanding preferred stock of Pharma Services Holding, Inc. ("Pharma Services"), the parent company of Quintiles, as part of the mergers of Pharma Services and Pharma Services Intermediate Holding Corp. ("Holding") into Quintiles.
