(Nasdaq: QTRN) have announced the launch of a new screening service for the rapid and early detection of potential cardiac side-effects caused by drug candidates and lead molecules. The two companies will jointly market the new service. The assay work will be carried out at BioFocus' advanced biology facility at Cambridge Science Park in the United Kingdom.

    Feb. 13, 2007 – Dennis Gillings, CBE, Chairman and CEO of Quintiles Transnational Corp., was joined yesterday in the formal opening of Quintiles’ new data processing facility in Williamston, N.C., by North Carolina Commerce Department Secretary Jim Fain, together with N.C. Rep. Edith Warren; Tommy Bowen, Chairman of the Martin County Board of Commissioners; Stan Crowe, Chairman of the Martin County Economic Development Commission; and Jane Patterson, Executive Director of the e-NC Authority, a division of the North Carolina Rural Economic Development Center.

    March 21, 2001 -Quintiles Transnational Corp. (Nasdaq: QTRN) today announced that U.S. District Court Judge Terrence W. Boyle issued a new order continuing the preliminary injunction against WebMD that had been issued on Friday, March 16, 2001.

    March 19, 2001 - Quintiles Transnational Corp. (Nasdaq: QTRN) today announced that on Friday, March 16, U.S. District Court Judge Terrence W. Boyle issued a preliminary injunction against WebMD. The court's order states, "WebMD is ordered to continue the uninterrupted and unaltered flow of data to Quintiles as represented before this court during the hearing on March 15, 2001, in Greenville, North Carolina." The preliminary injunction will continue until further notice, the order states.

Boyle extended to 5 p.m. on March 16 a previous temporary order requiring WebMD to make a complete delivery of data to Quintiles. Judge Boyle is scheduled to hear Quintiles' motion for a preliminary injunction on Friday, March 16, at 4 p.m.
