QUINTILES ANNOUNCES FIVE-YEAR GLOBAL STRATEGIC ALLIANCE WITH PHARMACIA
December 11, 2001 - Quintiles Transnational Corp. (Nasdaq: QTRN) today announced that it has entered into a strategic alliance with Pharmacia Corporation of Peapack, New Jersey, to provide clinical development and laboratory services to Pharmacia worldwide. The five-year agreement expands the relationship globally that Quintiles and Pharmacia formed last year when Quintiles acquired Pharmacia's clinical development unit in Stockholm. -

QUINTILES INFORMATICS ANNOUNCES NEW DATA CONTRACTS, PLANS TO SIGNIFICANTLY EXPAND CURRENT DATA VOLUME
October 19, 2001 - Quintiles Informatics announced today that it had signed data agreements with nine pharmacy chains and plans to significantly expand its current volume of de-identified healthcare claims data in 2002. Under a settlement agreement recently announced by Quintiles and WebMD, Quintiles will no longer receive WebMD data after February 28, 2002. -
QUINTILES REPORTS INCOME FROM OPERATIONS OF $11.7 MILLION BEFORE NON-RECURRING TRANSACTIONS
Quintiles Transnational Corp. (Nasdaq: QTRN) today announced financial results for third quarter 2001. Net revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2001, was $407.1 million, compared to $404.3 million for second quarter 2001. Income from operations, excluding non-recurring transactions, was $11.7 million vs. $9.9 million for the previous quarter. Net income, excluding non-recurring transactions, was $10.4 million vs. comparable net income for the previous quarter of $11.1 million. Earnings per share on a diluted basis, excluding non-recurring transactions, were $0.09, unchanged from the previous quarter. -
QUINTILES TRANSNATIONAL, CARE CAPITAL ENTER CO-INVESTMENT AGREEMENT WITH D-PHARM
October 16, 2001 - Quintiles Transnational Corp. (Nasdaq: QTRN) and Care Capital LLC today announced a joint private investment of $10 million in D-Pharm, Ltd., a biopharmaceutical company based in Israel that is expanding its development capabilities in the United States. -
