Ritchie Thomson, Ph.D., to the position of Vice President for Quality Assurance, Quintiles Transnational Corp. Dr. Thomson will be responsible for developing, coordinating and maintaining the Quality Assurance program for all Quintiles business units and subsidiaries. He will coordinate communications among the Quintiles Transnational Quality Assurance Team and Quintiles' senior management and board of directors. Previously, Dr. Thomson was the Vice President of Quality at Bausch & Lomb, Inc.

Martin Tyson to the position of Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Quintiles Transnational Corp. In this new position Mr. Tyson will be responsible for worldwide information systems strategy and operations. Previously, he served as a senior manager in the information systems organization at Glaxo Wellcome Inc.

Glenn Bilawsky to Director of Worldwide Business Development. In this expanded position, Mr. Bilawsky will have responsibility for establishing strategic alliance contracts with global companies and for harmonizing Quintiles' worldwide integrated business development systems. He retains his responsibilities as executive vice president, business development, Quintiles, Inc. and Quintiles Pacific, Inc.

Alan Wood, Ph.D., to the newly created position of Vice President, Business Management, Quintiles Europe. In addition to his continuing responsibilities for business development in Europe, Dr. Wood will have overall responsibility for country management in Quintiles' European operating units. Previously, he was vice president, business development, Quintiles Europe.
