April 1, 1999 - Quintiles Transnational Corp. (Nasdaq: QTRN) today announced the opening of an office in Warsaw, Poland, and the registration of a new legal entity, Quintiles Poland Sp. zo.o., to provide a full suite of clinical development services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies.

Quintiles' Poland office has 32 clinical staff, of whom seven hold doctoral degrees and 16 hold medical degrees. The office is headed by Malgorzata Humphrey, Director of Clinical Operations, Poland, and is located at Karen Building, Al. Jerozolimskie 214, 02-486 Warsaw.
