RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – June 21, 2007 – Quintiles Transnational Corp. today announced that clinical investigators rate their relationships with Quintiles the best in the industry, according to a recent survey.

The survey, blinded and conducted by a third party, asked clinical investigators to rate their relationships and experience with Clinical Research Organizations (CROs). Quintiles and eight other CROs were rated on fifteen attributes, including ability to support and facilitate regulatory approval, therapeutic expertise, timely compensation and project organization. Quintiles was rated in the top three for eleven of the fifteen attributes, more than any other CRO, and had the highest percentage of investigators – 39% – who gave Quintiles the highest rating of “excellent” for site relationship.

“The survey affirms our emphasis on developing strong relationships with clinical investigators, particularly in light of the recent findings that they rate our clinical trial monitors as the best,” said Jeff Thomis, President, Global Clinical Development Services. “Strong relationships lead to faster patient recruitment and a more efficient clinical development process.”

The survey also showed that investigators rate Quintiles as the leader in overall satisfaction among CROs, with the highest percentage, 37%, of “very satisfied” scores.

A third-party research company interviewed 291 investigators across the U.S. from December 2006 to January 2007. Investigators rated only those CROs with whom they had worked in the last 18 months.
