RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – June 11, 2007 – Quintiles Transnational Corp. today announced that its Asia Pacific unit has received three awards for excellence in customer service.

Quintiles received the Multinational Clinical Services Provider of the Year, Multinational Laboratory Services Provider of the Year and Customer Service Leadership of the Year awards at the Frost & Sullivan 2007 Asia Pacific Excellence in Healthcare Award Ceremony held June 8 in Singapore.

Anand Tharmaratnam, Head of Clinical Development, Asia Pacific, and CEO of Quintiles Southeast Asia, attributed the achievement to the company’s commitment to its employees and to its customers. “We have made a major effort to become the pharmaceutical employer of choice in the region, and because of that we have the best team in Asia,” Tharmaratnam said. “The team’s goal is to use our expertise and world-class technology and processes to become the first choice of our customers in all the services we provide. Tharmaratnam accepted the award for clinical services. Alan Ong, Vice President and General Manager for Central Laboratory Services Asia and Africa, accepted the award for laboratory services. Bhavani Sivalingam, Head of Project Management, Asia Pacific, accepted the award for customer service. Frost & Sullivan says the awards “recognize companies and individuals that have pushed the boundaries of excellence – rising above the competition and demonstrating outstanding performance across Asia Pacific.”
