RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – December 16, 2010 – Quintiles today announced the appointment of Vincent Aurentz as Executive Vice President, Customer Solutions Business, to head a newly formed unit of dedicated customer teams that will deliver customized solutions across Quintiles’ global businesses – Clinical, Commercial, Capital and Consulting – for the world’s leading bio pharmaceutical companies.

Aurentz brings more than 20 years of experience in the biopharma industry to his new role. Most recently, he was Executive Vice President of Portfolio Development and a member of the Executive Board, for Merck Serono in Geneva Switzerland, where he headed R&D Product teams, Portfolio Management, Business Development & Licensing, as well as Pricing & Health Economics.

Aurentz and his family recently relocated to North Carolina from Geneva, Switzerland.
